Reports To: Head of School / Academic Principal
Position Summary:
Potential Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year to inspire students in grades 9–10 to develop strong mathematical skills and critical thinking abilities within a Christ-centered learning environment. The ideal candidate will integrate biblical principles with academic instruction while creating engaging lessons that challenge and support students at varying skill levels.
Responsibilities
- Teach high school math courses such as Algebra I, Geometry, and/or Algebra II, depending on school needs.
- Create lesson plans, assessments, and activities that promote critical thinking and real-world application of math skills.
- Integrate Christian values and biblical worldview into daily instruction and classroom culture.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages respect, responsibility, and collaboration.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.
- Participate in school events, faculty meetings, chapel services, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to support student success and school initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (required).
- Florida teaching certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
- Experience teaching middle school math preferred.
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
- Commitment to Christian education and the mission of Potential Christian Academy.
- Ability to integrate faith and learning in the classroom.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
